Nowadays there are so many different systems out there, promising to help you get fit. In fact, there are hundreds of Hillsboro personal training experts standing by to instruct you as well! One of the more popular home training programs is P90x, so this article will take a look at how this program stacks up to a real, live personal trainer.

Cost of Hillsboro Personal Training Vs. P90x

Hiring a personal trainer can be somewhat expensive compared to having a bare bones $10-a-month gym membership. Generally, people pay between $20 and $50 a session for the customized workouts, nutrition program, motivation and results. So for a month of regular workouts, you could be paying $240 to $500 for the extra help. On the other hand, P90x costs you $120 for 12 workout DVDs. However, if you don’t have a weight set, you will need to buy one, which adds $40 to $120 to the overall cost of home training. You will also have to find your own motivation to actually follow through with the P90x program as well.

Where A Good Personal Trainer Beats P90x Every Time…

Nothing beats a Hillsboro personal training staff that is really invested in your success. They keep record of your weight, measurements and BMI. They log your reps and exercises for each session, which you may use later on when you continue maintaining your great look on your own. You’ll do a little bit of interval training, a few strength-training days, and a few cardio days. Your workouts will never be precisely the same. Unfortunately, there are a lot of lazy trainers out there who do not do these things. Do not settle for less! Find the type of dedicated trainer you need and you’ll find the informal nature of P90x can never hold a candle to 1-on-1 interaction.

What’s Good About P90x…

As far as home training DVDs go, Tony Horton’s P90x program is the cream of the crop. You’ll get a real kick-butt workout packed into a relatively short amount of time. You’ll be walked through each move and receive alternate movements if you have a hard time hitting the exact moves the trainers are doing. Over the course of three months, you’ll move toward a systematic progression toward more challenging workouts that shows you results.

The Final Word On Hillsboro Personal Training Vs. P90x Home Training

The bottom line is that both programs have their merit. Ideally, you’ll use both methods and find that you are more consistent in your efforts. When you’re not meeting with your trainer at the gym, you can be cross-training with Tony Horton at home. Or, on the other hand, perhaps you’ll spend an hour with your trainer at the gym and another 30 to 60 minutes at home doing your DVD, and then spend the days in between recuperating. The key is to make fitness your priority – and you will see results!

Don’t expect to sleep in on Hillsboro boot camp days. Most people get their kick-butt workouts in before they shower and get dressed for work, so you shouldn’t feel surprised when you see your alarm beeping at 5 am. Sure, you’ll question your own sanity – especially during the first few weeks of training – but in the big scheme of things, it’s a small price to pay for tangible results.

Your instructor (or instructors) will be friendly enough. Many of them have trained with the military, so they know a thing or two about barking out drill commands. They know how the body can withstand more push-ups, sit-ups, lunges, squats and presses than one may think. They understand how the fresh breeze of outdoor air offers little reprieve for as much sweating as you’ll be doing – and that a little bit of sweat never hurt anyone.

When you arrive to the park or beach location, you’ll start running to warm up, but you won’t be required to run more than a mile, generally. Instead of using weights or machines, you’ll use your own body weight as resistance and practice interval training to produce real results. You’ll look to your left and look to your right to find a sense of camaraderie as everyone struggles to complete the reps – all in it together.

By the end of the session, you’ll feel somewhat destroyed, but you’ll also have a sense of euphoria and a job well-done. You’ll find that your strength and endurance improve over time. Runners notice a huge transformation in their abilities. People who are training to run marathons often incorporate boot camp workouts into their routines. Yet, people looking to lose a few pounds and improve their heart health will also note benefits.

According to the American Council on Exercise, boot camps were one of the fastest growing trends in the fitness industry in 2009. These programs are increasingly popular because it provides noticeable results without paying for a personal trainer. The workouts are effective, but also compacted into a short amount of time.

Benefits of a Hillsboro boot camp include the following:

- Motivation through teamwork

- Results without spending a fortune

- Customized programming

- The ability to get fit outdoors

- Diverse, interesting workouts

- The opportunity to learn something new

Are you curious about what our Hillsboro boot camp is all about? Call us today to set up a free, no-obligation consultation. You can sit down with one of our trainers to discuss your individual fitness goals, see a class in action, or ask us a few questions. We’d love to have you!

Yes, Tigard personal training will require money and hard work… but it’s totally worth it!

Here’s Why:

1. Motivation – The top reason people hire personal trainers is to gain that added source of motivation. Let’s face it: sticking to a regular routine is hard! Many of us try to lure friends or family members into getting gym memberships just so we’ll have someone to go with. We try to set reminders in our cell phones or attend a class to give us some semblance of a regular schedule.

2. Customization – Perhaps you have a chronic health condition or you recently injured yourself. Many people avoid going to the gym because they are concerned about a particular health issue. However, fitness trainers know just how to handle this and can work alongside doctors or other therapists to provide a program that safely and effectively helps you recover.

3. Maximized Workouts – Trainers know just how to get results. There will be no wasted time going through the motions. You will find it easier to stay focused on your technique. You’ll remember to breathe properly, take in enough water, and keep your abdomen tight. You won’t slouch over on the machine or zone out when you should be concentrating.

4. Skill Training – If you play sports, you may be interested in specialized skills training. Personal trainers can help bodybuilders bulk up or basketball players improve their mental alertness on the court. They can help football players with agility and long-distance runners with endurance.

5. Reduce Recovery Time – Are you the sort of person who kills yourself during one workout, only to miss the next three due to soreness or injury? You can save a lot of wasted time and pain by understanding where you went wrong. Your new fitness routine will ensure your form is correct and you are not trying to jump the gun in terms of difficulty.

6. Beat Plateaus – It happens to most people at some point. You’re working out like a fanatic, losing tons of weight, feeling great – and suddenly, one day, you just stop losing anything even though you are following the same methods. In fact, that’s usually why you’ve stopped losing weight! Getting into a routine gives the body a chance to get back to homeostasis. A Tigard personal training program will provide you with a new workout each and every time.

7. Results – All personal training programs are designed around your goals and how to get you there. The ability to get fast, effective results is – and always will be – the main draw of a personal trainer. Whether you’re looking to grow stronger, improve your game skills, lose a few pounds, or just get into a regular routine, you will not be disappointed.

What Is Tigard boot camp?

You can think of boot camp as outdoor fitness training with a touch of “Rambo.” There’s a little bit of running, some basic lunges and squats, and perhaps even an obstacle course. The main draw to boot camp programming is the diversity in the workouts, but also the fact that routines are easy to follow (unlike some of the step aerobics classes out there).

What Kind Of Person Teaches Boot Camp?

Boot camp instructors are certified fitness trainers. They are entrepreneurial spirits who are very self-motivated and let that charisma spill over to help you. They know a wealth of information about different health conditions and nutrition requirements, so they are really “go-to” people for all-around fitness. You can be rest assured your trainer loves what he or she does.

How Many People Are In A Class?

Class sizes may vary, but ideally there will be no more than 30 people, so there can be a little bit of one-on-one interaction throughout the session. Boot camp is not quite as involved as all-out personal training, but there is an element of getting-to-know-you and your instructor will generally know when to push you harder and when to let you take a breather.

How Much Do Tigard Boot Camp Sessions Cost?

All boot camps are different, but you can generally expect to pay between $10 and $20 a session. People like that boot camp workouts are less expensive than personal training sessions, but still provide a kick-butt exercise routine that produces real results fast. Some boot camps are for a set duration – like one or two months – while others may offer revolving sign-ups so you can continue with the program as long as you’d like.

Who Is Boot Camp For?

Boot camp workouts are most effective for people who are looking to lose weight and take a “fast-track” to better fitness. It’s for people who may have languished in their efforts in the past – maybe because they didn’t see results quickly enough or they couldn’t create and adhere to a set routine on their own. People who may have hit weight loss plateaus will find that their bodies become “fat-burning machines” on a boot camp program. These classes are also great for people who feel motivated by the idea of group activity.

Who Isn’t Boot Camp For?

People with heart conditions or serious medical problems should consult a physician before trying a boot camp class. Those who are not in any sort of physical shape whatsoever may find the workouts a little too challenging. Yet, most people from 18 to 80 will find their own pace at a boot camp. Call and ask about our current Tigard boot camp specials!

Now is the best time to start a Tualein personal training program. Once the weather chills out, you won’t want to go anywhere unless you’re already committed. Also, you’re probably imbibing and indulging at all those summer parties and barbeques, so you’ve got to get into a routine to keep the pounds from packing on. If you’re on the fence, here are a few of the top reasons to get a personal trainer this August.

1. Comfort

This may sound odd at first as you wonder, “How will I possibly feel comfortable working out in front of an attractive and physically-fit stranger?” Indeed this apprehension prevents scores of people from joining in on the fun, but strangely enough, everyone who has worked with a personal training program says they feel more secure and comfortable once they joined. It can be weird starting a new gym membership, surrounded by strangers – some of whom are clearly in peak fitness and simply maintaining their wonderful bodies. A trainer is there to give you support, encouragement and confidence. Trainers can tell you how to use each weight machine and make sure you’re making the right motions to get the maximum results. As you get to know your trainer better, you’ll find it’s like working out with a friend – a very knowledgeable and supportive friend.

2. Knowledge

Do you know what it takes to get the maximum workout every time? Maybe you have a general idea, but Tualein personal training staff has attended schooling to learn the elements of proper nutrition and exercising. They’ll be able to tell you the best foods to eat before and after your workout to get adequate fueling. They’ll also customize workouts with the proper work and rest intervals to keep your body burning fat. They can show you the correct techniques so you build more lean muscle and they will know when to increase the difficulty level to prevent you from reaching a weight loss plateau before you’re ready. Personal trainers are also instructed how to handle a number of different physical conditions, whether you are trying to rehabilitate an injury, prevent heart disease, or train for a particular sport.

3. Discipline

It’s easy to get distracted. With work and life, it’s easy to say “I don’t have time to get to the gym.” And even if you do go to the gym, there is no guarantee you are necessarily getting a good workout. Having a trainer there with you will keep you focused and disciplined on the task at hand. The consistent scheduling and regular appointments make squeezing your workout in much easier. And sometimes, when you want to quit, all it takes is a phone call or a word of encouragement from your trainer to get you back on the right path.

Call and see how a Tualein personal training program can help you achieve better fitness!

The fear of sudden cardiac death is very real for many Americans. Each year, more than 300,000 hearts suddenly stop beating, seemingly without warning. Unfortunately, plenty of warnings were given, but they were not heeded over the years as individuals continued to overeat, smoke and sit on their couches. A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association went so far as to say Americans can lower their risk of sudden cardiac death by more than 90 percent simply by not smoking, eating sensibly, maintaining a healthy weight, and exercising regularly. This last point is where Tualein boot camp factors in.

If heart disease and sudden cardiac death are concerns for you – either because you have had heart troubles in the past or you have a family history of cardiac arrest – then do not overlook the simple preventative measures. Healthy habits are the real lifesavers and a Tualein boot camp helps people get into a regular, steady routine, where fitness is front and center in the participants’ lives. Having a scheduled time and other people in a class creates an added sense of accountability and obligation that prevents you from saying, “Oh, I’ll just go tomorrow instead.” It’s all too easy to put off physical activity and fall into a habit of lethargy. Before you know it, you’ve packed on a few extra pounds and put yourself at risk for heart disease.

If you already have a spare time to get rid of, then there is no better way than boot camp. The activities are basic, yet also physically challenging. Typically, you will spend several minutes elevating your heart rate, which strengthens the cardiovascular system and speeds up the fat burning process as well. After the high-intensity activity, you will spend a short period of low-intensity activity to give your body a bit of a rest. Fitness experts call this “interval training,” which has been proven to improve heart health and improve the body’s weight loss ability. Compared to other programs, you’ll find a Tualein boot camp gives you more dramatic results, a leaner and more muscular physique, and floods your body with endorphins that make you actually look forward to the next session.

Please note that those who have already been diagnosed with heart disease or another medical condition should speak to their doctors prior to beginning a new interval training program. While it is a great workout that produces effective results, a Tualein boot camp may not be for everyone.

It’s time to get serious. Half the year has already gone by. If you made any fitness goals this year, you should be well on your way toward completing them by now. It’s true that we are only human and there are so many excuses to fall off the wagon. It was your birthday, so you had that extra piece of cake. You went on a cruise vacation, so you spent the week gorging yourself on the buffet line. You worked over-time and didn’t have time to plan dinner, so it was pizza again. You missed the gym because you were working, you had to pick up the kids from sports practice, you had a headache, you were too tired, you had too much to do around the house. The list goes on and on and on. The truth is, there’s no better time to rediscover your goals, tap into your inner determination and get the right attitude for losing weight and feeling great. Here are 5 reasons to consider Lake Oswego personal training as the method that gets you back on track:

Motivation

Let’s face it. Motivation is hard! Not everyone is born a Lance Armstrong or a Michael Jordan with that inner calling and innate love of the sport. For some of us, working out is nothing short of inane torture. Not only will your personal trainer give you instant motivation, cheering you on to push harder and give every workout your all; but you will have the added motivation to go to the gym, period, since you know your trainer will be there waiting for you.

Consistency

Schedules can work wonders when it comes to results. By making appointments with your trainer part of your regular routine, you’ll stop making excuses and find more time to get fit. Pretty soon, fitness will be as easy as breathing and you won’t even have to ask yourself whether you should go to the gym or not. You will simply get in your car and go.

Safety

A trainer can help you exercise with perfect form each and every time. Sometimes we don’t realize when we’re slouching, lifting with our back instead of our core, or falling out of alignment. The pointers you get during your workout will help you flex all the right muscles while you lift weights to gain added definition where it counts.

Attention

Personal training gives you the most individual attention of any other type of intervention. You’ll get a personalized nutrition plan and exercise program designed just for you. There’s nothing like the feeling that someone else is rooting for you and invested in your success. That sort of support is the stuff dreams are made of!

Results

Need to lose 5 to 20 pounds? No problem! Reach your target weight in 3 months or less with Lake Oswego personal training.

The fear of the unknown is palpable when you consider whether or not to attend a Lake Oswego boot camp Most boot camps ask you to commit to the full program – whether it’s 4 weeks, 8 weeks or 12 weeks. If this type of rigorous workout is totally foreign to you, it’s understandable that you would have some hesitation before jumping into this thing head-first. While every facility is different, this article will cover what you can generally expect at a Lake Oswego boot camp.

Motivation

“Who’s going to take it to the next level? Who’s going to save the day?” asks the Lake Oswego boot camp instructor. It’s not quite the bossy, military-style barking you’d expect. The tone is a little lighter, but don’t let your instructor see you dogging it or you might get a “drop and give me twenty!” Typically, the instructors will know when to push you harder and when you could use a breather, though, so it’s not all-grueling, all-the-time. There will be music playing in the background to keep the intensity up and you’ll find if the instructor doesn’t motivate you, the 15-20 other people there will. Call it “competitive spirit,” but people tend to push themselves harder in the presence of others. The energy you feel from the people you meet will keep you motivated and focused on the task at hand.

Expertise

Boot camp trainers come from all different backgrounds. Some have experience in sports training and coaching. Others come from stunt double acting, motivational speaking and military training pasts. Some instructors have degrees in fitness and nutrition. Regardless of where they’ve come from, you will have access to programs that are tested, tried and true.

Variety

One class, you’ll take a 15 minute warm-up that includes stretching, running and jumping. Another day it might be running through tires, bunny hops or push-ups. No two workouts will be exactly the same. Over time, the intensity will gradually increase. There is a blend of strength, agility, flexibility and endurance training that shocks your system into letting go of its fat reserves. Some boot camps are 30 minutes, three days a week. Others may be 60 minutes or just two days a week.

Results

The true reason why so many people get hooked on the idea of a Lake Oswego boot camp is the fact that the methods bring results. Boot camps are designed to be short-term programs that help people tune up their bodies and get fit. Many participants find they lose 10 – 20 pounds over the course of their program. Others may actually gain a little bit of weight as they build muscle, but notice very distinctive muscle definition.

If you are interested in Beaverton personal training but do not yet have a membership to an area facility, then you have a few important decisions to make before you can get started. Both health clubs and gyms offer personal trainers, but they offer two very different experiences. Which place you choose depends upon how committed you are, what you want out of a fitness facility, and how much you want to spend.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

How committed are you? If you know for a fact you’ll be sweating and addicted to this new fitness thing, then you may be able to save a good deal of money with an annual membership. However, if you’re one of the throngs of people who sign up as part of a New Year’s resolution and disappear entirely by May, then you’re better finding a month-to-month arrangement that lets you cancel at any time. Most gyms and health clubs offer a promotional rate to get you in through the front door.

WHAT IS A GYM?

You can think of a gym as a bare bones sort of facility aimed at people who value strength training above all else. Some gyms just have barbells, dumb bells, a stair climber, a stationary bike, and a treadmill. Other gyms may have added features like a juice bar, daycare center, swimming pool, or classes. These added options may be included with your membership or may come at extra cost.

WHAT IS A HEALTH CLUB?

Health clubs are usually more spacious and contain more added perks. It’s not uncommon to find a sauna, massage parlor, racquetball courts, swimming pools, running tracks, restaurants, tennis courts, basketball courts, child care facilities, hair salon, tanning booths, and a large variety of Beaverton personal training experts. Generally use of the entire facility is included in one fee.

WHERE TO GET BEAVERTON PERSONAL TRAINING

There are several considerations when deciding where to find your personal trainer.

For instance, you may want to go with a gym if…

•	You are looking to save money
•	You mainly want access to weights

On the other hand, you may want a health club if…

•	You need variety to sustain your interest
•	You are interested in social activities, classes and boot camps

Before deciding, why not sit down with Beaverton personal training staff at each type of facility, and try out a complementary day pass trial to make up your mind for sure.

The key to living a healthy lifestyle is finding a way to make it effortless. You need a schedule that works for you and exercises that you genuinely enjoy doing to really make it work. There are limitless activities you can choose – from spin classes, elliptical machines and skiing to basketball, karate and swimming. One of the activities you’ll undoubtedly hear about is Beaverton boot camp, which has become all the rage in many circles. Yet, before you impulsively sign up, you should know a few things about boot camp to determine if it’s a good fit for you.

PERK #1: GROUP SUPPORT

With boot camp, there is a definite sense of “we’re all in this together.” Often class members strike up a conversation with fellow participants and have an added sense of accountability because their new friends will notice if they try to skip out. Also, people with a competitive spirit find they push themselves harder in a group setting like this. The coach guides the group, interjecting added motivation when they feel they just can’t give anymore.

PERK #2: VARIETY

You’ll never do the exact same routine twice at a Beaverton boot camp. Every fitness facility has a different method, but generally speaking, boot camp classes involve obstacle courses, exercise balls, ropes, exercise balls, dumb bells, and stretch bands. Some camps use no equipment whatsoever, instead relying on the body’s weight for resistance. Instructors pride themselves on concocting different regimens all the time — ratcheting up the intensity, swapping the order of exercises, and tailoring the sessions to the group’s progress. Training combines strength, flexibility, agility and endurance. It’s this variation that enables boot camp participants to lose so much weight.

PERK #3: INDIVIDUAL FEEDBACK

Personal training can be cost-prohibitive for some people. On the other hand, boot camp sessions are less expensive, yet still provide a good deal of individual attention and feedback. Participants will know if they are doing the exercises properly to achieve maximum results. They will also receive pep talks if they look like they’re slacking and pointers on how to modify the exercises to make them easier or harder.

WHO SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE IN A BEAVERTON BOOT CAMP?

Most people who join boot camps are already in fairly decent shape. Generally, rigorous boot camps are not recommended for people who have serious medical conditions, injuries, or for women who are pregnant. You will likely see the most dramatic impact if you occasionally work out, but would like to lose 5 to 20 pounds.
